Procreate feierte in diesem Jahr sein zehnjähriges App-Store-Jubiläum: Die Software erschien zum Start des zweiten iPads im Mai 2011. Es kostet weiterhin 9,99 Euro – als Einmalkauf.

Wichtige Randnotiz, die auch in den Release Notes eine Erwähnung fand: Apple erlaubt es iPad-Apps sich jetzt für ein spezielles Entitlement zu bewerben, um auf den neuen iPad Pros mehr Arbeitsspeicher abzurufen.

iPadOS 15 memory updates: iPad Pros with 6 GB of RAM or more can now take advantage of the extra memory and create even more layers and even bigger resolutions. Compatible iPads can now create canvas sizes up to 16k by 8k, and make hundreds more layers for animation.
