„Halide Mark III“
Der Release von Mark II liegt bereits sechs Jahre zurück. Das ist doppelt so lange, wie Lux von der ersten bis zur zweiten Version benötigte.
Große Sprünge der Versionsnummern sind natürlich nicht sehr aussagekräftig – Halide erfuhr über die letzten Jahre hinweg entscheidende Weiterentwicklungen.
Trotzdem hat sich das Mitbewerberfeld gegenüber dem Jahr 2020 signifikant vergrößert. Halide war für mich zuletzt lediglich eine von diversen Kamera-Apps, die sich in ihrer Qualität untereinander überschlagen. Ein Resultat davon ist sicherlich das kostenlose Upgrade auf Version 3 für alle Bestandskund:innen.
Mark III erhält Looks und ein Lab, wirkt aber aufgeräumter als Version 2, zu der man (für mich unverständlicherweise) weiterhin zurückspringen kann.

Filtr erweitert Wipr
Mein bewährtes „Set-and-forget“-Setup: NextDNS (Referral-Link) filtert auf Netzwerkebene aufspringende Ads und unsichtbare Tracker; Wipr räumt kaputte Webseiten-Layouts auf und blendet unvermeidbare First-Party-Werbung aus.
Filtr is brand new feature that extends Wipr’s blocking to all apps on the device. It acts at the network level, but it can access none of your data.
It’s based on a new iOS/macOS 26 technology called “URL Filters”. It allows Wipr to block network requests system-wide without having access to any network traffic at all, and with more granularity than previous solutions.
Filtr is not a VPN. You can use a VPN and Filtr at the same time. You can use Filtr and iCloud Private Relay at the same time. Same for custom DNS. Unlike a VPN, Filtr won’t hurt your battery life, or handle all your traffic.
