RIM stolpert auch in Q2/2011

Offizielle Zahlen von Research in Motion: Im zweiten Quartal 2011 wurden 10.6 Millionen BlackBerry Smartphones und 200.000 PlayBook Tablets ausgeliefert. Nicht verkauft, sondern ausgeliefert. Erwartet wurden 12 Millionen BlackBerrys und bis zu 700.000 PlayBooks.

Der Ausblick für Q3 sieht zwischen 13.5 und 14.5 Millionen Telefone vor. Prognosen zum PlayBook gab RIM nicht.

It took RIM a full quarter (let’s say 60 days) to ship (not sell) 200,000 PlayBooks. In its last quarter, Apple sold 9.25 million iPads, or approximately 154,000 per day. In two days of sales the iPad beat the PlayBook.
