Apple Watch entsperrt 1Password auf Macs mit Secure Enclave
One of our most highly requested features, Apple Watch can now unlock 1Password on any Mac with a Secure Enclave. If you’re using macOS 10.15 or later and using the latest devices, you’ll now see an option in 1Password preferences to turn on Unlock with Apple Watch alongside the Touch ID option.
Meine Macs haben noch keine Secure Enclave. Aber bereits auf das automatische Entsperren von macOS mit der Uhr möchte ich nicht mehr verzichten – seitdem das zuverlässig klappt.
Auch deshalb sei für die Apple Watch ein Code mit 6 (statt 4) Stellen empfohlen. Im Alltag braucht ihr ihn nicht häufig einzugeben, weil das iPhone bekanntlich die Watch entsperrt (Watch-App ➞ Code). Für die Zukunft wünsche ich mir hier trotzdem eine noch bessere Absicherung für die Uhr – beispielsweise durch Touch ID.
