„Don’t call it a comeback“: Pocket Casts 6
Fast forward 5 years and here we are at version 6. Our basic goals remain the same, we’ve just become more ambitious over time and added more features to our must haves. Cross device syncing. Variable speed playback. Episode filtering. Tablet support. Podcast chapter support. Silence Removal. We also added an Android version, a web version and so much more.
Version 6 (universal; 3.99 €) verkroch sich nicht umsonst für eineinhalb Jahre. Das Update von Shifty Jellys Podcast-App ist bemerkenswert (Swift, iPad-App, Dark Theme, Trim-‚Overcast‘-Silence, Android-App, Cloud Play, etc.) und hat bei mir spontan zum Umzug von Overcast zu Pocket Casts geführt.
Zum Glück beansprucht ein Podcast-App-Wechsel im Jahr 2016 nur noch wenige Klicks (Overcast → Export). Dank Sync-Konto, das beide Podcast-Anwendungen anbieten, löscht man obendrein die jeweils nicht benutzte App ohne (Backup-)Sorgen.
