Die UDID-Deadline: 01.Mai 2013

App-Store-Apps, die noch auf UDIDs anstelle der neuen Ad-ID setzten, kommen nach dem 01.Mai nicht mehr durch den Prüfprozess. Obendrein müssen Entwickler Retina-Kompatibilität gewährleisten und den großen iPhone-5-Bildschirm ausfüllen wenn sie zukünftig noch Updates für ihre Software genehmigt bekommen wollen.

Damit legt Apple einen straffen Zeitplan vor. Das iPhone 5 ist am 01. Mai lediglich sieben Monate alt. Interessanter Nebeneffekt der neuen Auflagen: Der App-Support für iOS 4.2 kippt.
