Den Auftakt von ‚Beats 1‘ spielen Julie Adenuga, Ebro Darden und Zane Lowe
Bevor Apple im letzten Jahr die Übernahme von Beats bestätigte, verplapperte sich Rapper und Schauspieler Tyrese Gibson gemeinsam mit Dr. Dre in einem Party-Video. Zusammen mit der Kopfhörer-Marke und dem Streamingdienst sicherte sich Apple zugleich ‚Jimmy und Dre‘ – zwei Namen, die durch ihre Kontakte einen signifikanten Anteil am Drei-Milliarden-Dollar-Deal tragen.
Mit Apple Music rückt Apple noch näher an die eigentlichen Künstler. Mit Beats 1 leistet sich Apple einen eigenen Radiosender auf dem Gast-Shows von Drake, Dr. Dre, St. Vincent, Disclosure, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Jaden Smith, Elton John und Pharrell laufen.
Auch die drei DJs selbst, Julie Adenuga, Zane Lowe und Ebro Darden, sind Stars in ihrer Szene – echte Charaktere. Ab nächsten Dienstag gestalten sie täglich ein kostenfreies ‚Rund um die Uhr‘-Programm, das weltweit auf jedem iPhone und iPad zu hören ist. Und ich bin mir sicher, mehr Radioköpfe werden nicht lange auf sich warten lassen.
Mittlerweile bin ich ernsthaft gespannt auf Beats 1 und kann diese beiden Profile über Julie Adenuga und Zane Lowe zur Einstimmung empfehlen.
